Netgear launches WiFi7 access for businesses with four times more throughput

Netgear has launched its WBE750 WiFi 7 Access Point for businesses, delivering 18.4 gigabits per second (Gbps), or four times more than WiFi 6 solutions.

The product is tailored for businesses heavily reliant on wireless connectivity. The tri-band WBE750, a part of Netgear’s Total Network Solution, offers up to 18.4Gbps total WiFi throughput and is accompanied by a 10Gbps/Multi-Gigabit PoE++ port, providing performance with robust network security.

With today’s businesses experiencing an increasing reliance on wireless internet, the WBE750 Insight Manageable Tri-band WiFi 7 Access Point addresses the need for real-time responsiveness, low latency, and enhanced capacity.

“WiFi brings us on at a point where we’ll see a lot of uptick this year for sure. On businesses and high-end residential homes as well as one of our markets for WiFi 7. Everybody’s bringing in more and more devices to the marketplace, to the office, to their home office,” said John Henkel, director of SMB marketing at Netgear, in an interview with VentureBeat. “With all the remote work, people are starting to understand they really need to have rock-solid wireless. It’s going to be [four] times as fast as WiFi 6.”

The workplace has seen a surge in connected devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, and various office-wide equipment such as collaboration systems and smart lighting. Bandwidth congestion resulting from this surge can lead to decreased productivity, emphasizing the significance of advanced access points like the WBE750.

Iphie Chen, senior product line manager at Netgear, said in a statement, “For businesses with 50 or more employees, each with personal devices, plus connected workplace equipment, network congestion can quickly become an issue. The WBE750 brings WiFi 7, the latest standard of WiFi, to the workplace and offers a solution for businesses with these complex needs.”

The WBE750 supports up to 600 concurrent devices, and it has advanced RF technology for optimal connectivity across all bands. It uses Netgear Insight management for easy setup and monitoring. With WiFi 7, the WBE750 enables devices to send and receive data across multiple WiFi bands simultaneously.

This results in improved throughput for end devices and minimizes connection issues. As WiFi 7 becomes the industry standard, the WBE750 is positioned to accommodate the growing number of WiFi 7-enabled devices entering workplaces. Compared to access points with older WiFi standards, the WBE750 offers faster data transmission, lower latency, less interference, and greater capacity, even for WiFi 6 devices.

Netgear Insight management solution facilitates easy setup and monitoring of the WBE750. The cloud web portal or mobile app supports configuration options and network management, catering to businesses of any size.
