Best free agents available for the Ravens after the first wave of free agency

With the second wave of free agency set to begin, we’re looking at the best available targets for the Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens weren’t overly active during the first few days of NFL free agency, but the team added DeAndre Hopkins to the passing game and Jake Hummel to the special teams. The Ravens retained Ronnie Stanley, Patrick Ricard, and Tylan Wallace, while the restructure of Marlon Humphrey created $13 million in salary cap space.

Even with the inactivity and loss of Brandon Stephens, Malik Harrison, Patrick Mekari, Josh Jones, and Chris Board, the team is still in the midst of a Super Bowl window and has 11 2025 NFL draft picks to help restock.

With the second wave of free agency set to begin, we’re looking at the best available targets.

Teven Jenkins, G

An often injured offensive guard who originally started his career as an offensive tackle, Jenkins could be a sneaky good pickup with Pro Bowl potential. His 75.4 PFF grade in 2024 was 18th among 135 NFL guards. He’s ever-improving, and Jenkins had an average pass-block win rate (92.0%) and a slightly below-average run-block win rate (69.3%) this past season.

Brandon Scherff, G

Another potential addition for depth, the veteran offensive guard had a pass block win rate of 93.8% last year, which ranked 14th among guards, according to ESPN.

Azeez Ojulari, Edge

The 25-year-old pass rusher lost some luster with the Giants trading for Brian Burns to join 2022 first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux on edge; Ojulari was the odd man out to start last season, playing just 37 percent of the defensive snaps and logging only one sack in the first five games. After Thibodeaux suffered a wrist injury that opened the door for Ojulari. The 24-year-old made the most of his return to the starting lineup with five sacks in three games. He’s an intriguing free agent and someone Baltimore could take a chance on with David Ojabo not developing.

 Calais Campbell, DL

A talented veteran on a potentially cheap deal, Campbell has at least five sacks in each of the past three seasons,

Za’Darius Smith, Edge

Last season, with the Browns and Lions, Smith had nine sacks and 38 pressures.

Matthew Judon, Edge

Just two years ago, Judon had a 15.5 sack season but only had 5.5 sacks in 2024.

E.J. Speed, LB

Speed had 93 tackles and seven tackles for loss last season and offers an athletic linebacker that can add depth to the position.

Jedrick Wills Jr., OT

Wills could be in line for a position switch like Mekhi Becton, and he’s still a solid pass blocker who has a career pass block win rate of 92.0%

Justin Simmons, S

Simmons signed with Atlanta last offseason following eight years in Denver. Last season, Simmons recorded two interceptions, seven passes defended, and 62 total tackles in 16 games played in 2024, with his PFF grade ranking 113th out of 170 safeties.

Julian Blackmon, S

Blackmon had three interceptions in 2024 and seven over the past two seasons.

Kyzir White, LB

White started all 17 games in his second season with the Arizona Cardinals, making 137 total tackles, one interception, 2.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, and eight QB hits.

CB Rasul Douglas (BUF)

The former Eagles, Packers, and Bills cornerback excels in zone coverage and can be a playmaker for a Ravens team looking for closers on the outside. According to ESPN, Douglas was below average in coverage DVOA metric this past season but ranked third in the league in 2023 among qualifying cornerbacks. Douglas lacked big plays, with only five passes defended in 2024, but had at least 13 in each of the three previous seasons.
